The Kangaroo

The Kangaroo Mathematics Contest is an annual international competition aimed at students from the 3rd grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school.

The competition originated in France and is administered globally by the Kangaroo Without Borders Association (Association Kangourou sans Frontières - AKSF).

The Kangaroo Math Contest is the largest math competition in the world, with more than 6 million participants per year in over 80 countries.

The Mission

By inviting students to the Kangaroo Mathematics Brazil Contest, our goals are, among others:

• Expand and encourage the development of mathematical knowledge.
• Contribute to the improvement of Mathematics teaching at all levels of Basic Education.
• To favor the study in an interesting and contextualized way, bringing students closer to the universe of Mathematics.
• Stimulate students' ability to obtain pleasure and intellectual satisfaction in solving pure or applied mathematics problems.

In Brazil, the Contest has been held since 2009 and each year the Kangaroo Community grows even more.

Application Calendar 2022

• Dec. 1st, 2021 - Start of registrations;
• Mar. 11th, 2022 - Deadline for registrations;
• Mar. 17th, 2022 - Onsite Tests - Official Date;
• Mar. 24th-25th-26th, 2022 - Online exams;
• Jun. 13th, 2022 - Disclosure of general results
